Complimentary Consultation

Your first visit to our office is complimentary. At this time you will meet personally with one of the doctors who will evaluate you or your child’s orthodontic needs and discuss any concerns regarding treatment. Occasionally dental radiographs (x-rays) may be needed at this time.

After this evaluation, one of four decisions will be made:

    1. The patient is not ready for any treatment at this time and will be placed in our recall system for periodic checks of growth and development.

    2. Limited treatment may be suggested to correct developing problems of the teeth and jaws. Once these issues are resolved the patient is then placed in our recall system for further observation.

    3. The patient is ready for comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Fees are discussed and appointments can be made for diagnostic records. These records consist of specialized dental x-rays, tooth moulds, and digital photographs which are evaluated by the doctors to develop a customized plan of treatment for each patient.

    4. No treatment is indicated.

Regular Appointments

Patients are generally seen for regular adjustments every 4-8 weeks. These appointments are usually 15-20 minutes long unless there is breakage of the braces. Longer appointments such as putting the braces on or taking them off are scheduled during school hours because our doctors personally see every patient at their visits.

Because we value your time, we make every effort to run on schedule. We would appreciate at least 24 hour notice if appointments need to be rescheduled. Please keep in mind that we generally schedule patients 4-8 weeks in advance.

If a "late in the day" appointment is missed or cancelled, it may be necessary to schedule this missed visit earlier in the day to keep treatment progressing. The next appointment can be made at the regularly-desired time.

Payment & Office Policies

Cost

The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient’s problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have several payment plans to suit different budgets. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable.

Fees

In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:

  • If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. (If you have insurance, we will offer a discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.)
  • To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
  • For your convenience, we accept payment by Visa and Mastercard.

Insurance

If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. Please provide us with your insurance information prior to your first visit in our office. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.

Convenient Online Services

We know how busy you are. That’s why we’re committed to providing you superior, leading-edge service. With our secure online service you will be able to:

  • View your appointment and account information any time;
  • Sign up for email or text appointment reminders;
  • Check your payment history and see current charges;
  • Print out flex spending reimbursement and tax receipts.
